What’s this app for?
As a volunteer Team Manager for a large swimming club, I have to make sure swimmers get to races on time, and know which heat and lane they are in. A vital part of this process is the “heat sheet” or start list, a document produced at the start of the session with all the race details. It can be a long and error prone process going through a printed sheet with a highlighter pen, picking out your swimmers.
Fortunately, the start lists are frequently available for download as PDFs from the competition results website. This app was developed to quickly highlight the start list for Team Managers and Coaches - you can easily add a team name into the app to get all matching lines highlighted. But you can also add a list of individual names, if for instance you have a particular group of swimmers you’re responsible for.
Of course, this app is useful for anybody who needs to rapidly mark up a PDF with all matching occurrences of a word or phrase. It even supports Regular Expressions, for really sophisticated matching rules!
